World’s Most Expensive Party


Introduction

 On 14th October 1971 in Iran, This Tremendous 3 Days Party was StartedIn this Party, Emperors and Royals and Presidents and Prime Ministers of 65 Countries were Invited.

The Ruler of Iran, Shah Muhammad Reza Pahalavi held this Party. Shah was the ruler of Iran in the 1960s Who was considered King of the Kings. He was a very powerful and the Richest Person in the World. He had a strong hold on the Iranian Government and his Commands were made the Law of the Government. He had such power that he could even Fire the Prime Minister from his Position. Iran was facing the worst Conditions at that time. The Iranian People faced Poverty and survival there was nearly impossible for them. On the Other hand, Shah was fond of luxuries and showed no care for his Country. People Used to dislike him. 

Now, Shah wanted to make a Good Impression on Iran in front of the World so he decided to Organize a Grand Expensive Party of 3 days in which he invited Emperors, Royals, Presidents, and Prime Ministers and Many Famous Personalities from 65 CountriesAs This was the Biggest Party and Shah didn’t want to make this Event Normal he decided to make it the best and Grand Party. Since Iran was not well-developed and had Poor Infrastructure so due to the Shah Decided to hold this Party in the Desert! No one Could understand how a Big Grand and Famous Party could be held in the Desert where there are snakes, Scorpions, Scorching Heat, and a lot of Sand. Thus, this was the first ever Party Arranged in the Desert so it grabbed a lot of Media Attention as well. Shah wanted to make this Party the Best and Most Memorable so He Confirmed Desert and Appointed a Team To carry this Task.

Preparations

The Preparations were started A year before in Advance for this 3 Day Party and so now invitations were sent to all the Elites across the World. The First Hurdle was to where the Elites will stay for 3 Days. However, Shah First Spread A chemical on 500 Acres of Desert and Killed all the Snakes and scorpions

After this, It was decided that A Royal Village will be Made in which Plastic Tents will be put upAlso, Shah made a garden here in which Different Flowers with different Fragrances were Planted in The Garden15000 Trees were also Imported for this Garden due to the short time. This garden was spread over 4000 Acres. Furthermore, to increase the beauty, Shah Imported 50,000 Song Birds and 20,000 Sparrows for the Garden from EuropeSome of the Birds Died as overall it was Desert

Now for the Guests’ Stay, Shah made a contract with a Paris Company that then Prepared a Total of 50  Luxurious Air Conditioned Suites for the Guests in Paris Which were then brought and Assmebled from Planes in the desert. Each Suite contained 2 Bedrooms, 2 Washrooms, 1 Sitting Area, and a Kitchen. It was also planned that each suite would be served 24 hours by 5 Cooks, and 20 Servants

A total of 50 Suites were Now Made in 160 Acres area of desert in just a few monthsThus, Now Suites, a Perfumed garden, a Golf Course, and luxury beautiful grounds were made. 

Shah also constructed an Airfield at a distance of 50km from the Venue and also a Highway Route for the Transportation of Goods. 

If we look at the Food for the Party, Shah dealt with the World’s Best Restaurant Maxims De Paris Which was the Most Famous Luxury Restaurant in Paris. Shah Hired Maxim workers 10 days in advance before the party. In an estimate, almost 18 tons of food, 2700kg of Beef, 250,000 Eggs, and everything that was served in Maxims De Paris RestaurantAlso, 12 Tons of Wine with French Ice was ordered From ParisThus, This was shocking as Ice for Wine was also ordered from Paris

Now the Most Important was security as Locals of Iran who were already facing Poverty and Scarcity couldn’t Resist this party and started doing protests and raised Voice against this Party. To face this, Shah Deployed 65000 Soldiers for the Security of the Party and So whoever violated this was arrested.

Shah Downfall: Death

In 1978A wave of Revolution came in Iran that overthrew the Pahalavi Dynasty and so as a result, Shah escaped to Egypt Where he Died after 1 year. Thus, this marked the End of the Shah’s Rule over Iran.
